Inspire Generations to Come
We partner with educators to promote thriving learning environments that facilitate success for all students. From the classroom to the board room, our work focuses on four areas that we believe are levers for change in education: strengthening instruction, developing leaders, improving organizational operations, and facilitating collaborative networks.
We Partner to Solve the "How"
In the ClassroomTeaching and Learning
We partner to develop and enhance the common practices, language, and reflection techniques necessary to move proactively towards improved student outcomes.
Teachers who have participated in the RTI professional learning sessions come away with a toolbox full of resources and ideas for process changes—transformative practices that have been modeled and taught and then practiced by teachers…
– Dr. Kimberly Lane, Former District Program Manager, Winston Salem-Forsyth County Schools
In the SchoolLeadership/Development
We believe professional learning is most meaningful when connected to the authentic challenges of school leaders.
My experience with RTI has been great! As a new principal opening a new school, I don’t know what I would have done without [an RTI consultant’s] support. She listens to everything and is always accessible to offer options and solutions.
– Krystal Cox, Principal of Wilson Academy of Applied Technology
In the DistrictStrategic Consulting
We co-design solutions that are both actionable and sustainable to improve organizational operations.
When RTI comes to work with our groups, it’s seamless. The content is tailored using the same language, logos, lingo. Our teachers don’t even know they [RTI] are not part of the district staff.
– Kathy Price, Executive Director of Educator Effectiveness, Johnston County Public Schools
Across CommunitiesPeer Learning Networks
We bring people together to share solutions and solve challenges; a powerful opportunity for collaboration and scale.
Thank you so much for yesterday’s session. It was one of the best professional development opportunities that I have attended in 12 years of teaching and working in education.
– Teacher, Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy
Across SystemsTechnology Solutions
When considering a technological solution for a given problem, we rely on human centered design principles and ensure that the technology helps support the process, and doesn't become a barrier.
At the Democratic Knowledge Project, we have been lucky to partner with many excellent organizations. Our partnership with RTI rises to the top, in terms of quality of deliverables, transparency of process, enjoyment of process, and mutual respect. I can't imagine a better partner for the work we did together.
– A. Billingham Bock, Democratic Knowledge Project, an initiative of the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University, August, 2023.
Our Activities
We support schools, districts, state education agencies, and education organizations across the nation to tackle their most pressing educational challenges. Leveraging local resources and expertise, we support our partners to create solutions to address teacher shortages, learning loss, shifting dispositions toward college readiness, increasing demand for equitable outcomes, and other possibilities of disruption.
Recent Partners
We value our partners. Every engagement is practitioner focused, research driven, and customized based on local context and desired outcomes of our partners to ensure sustainability. The result is tailored support that enables us to best match our staff’s experiences, skills, and resources to the needs of each partner.
Working with RTI has been the best investment our school has made. The support we receive for our teachers from [RTI] is second to none.
– Jonathan Brown, Former Principal, Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy
About Education Services
By designing and implementing structured, research-based approaches for teaching, leading, operating, and improving, the Center for Education Services empowers educators to improve student achievement. All children, regardless of circumstances, deserve access to a quality education that empowers them to thrive. Yet our teachers and administrators face environments with increasing complexity, constraint, and ambiguity. Meanwhile, students of color and limited means face widening opportunity gaps accelerated by systems that are seldom designed to address the variability of our diversifying student population.
Through job-embedded support tailored to meet the needs of K-12 educators, we’re partnering to challenge that status quo. We apply a passionate, professional, approach to drive meaningful solutions that are both actionable and sustainable. Technical assistance is always customized to best meet the unique needs of each context.
The Center for Education Services is embedded within RTI’s Education and Workforce Development division. From newborn screening to K–12 policy to workforce retraining, our staff endeavors to turn knowledge into practice through rigorous research and hands-on implementation support. Every education project benefits from an integrated approach that offers access to the breadth of content expertise, staff experience, and research insight that differentiates RTI.
